Go Ape - swinging through for sight and life.
On Saturday 24th may 2008, Delamere Forest in Cheshire will come alive with activity as visually impaired and blind students, staff and friends from Liverpool Community College Go ape for eye care.

This death defying sponsored swing through the trees will raise funds for St Paul's Eye Appeal and Daisy’s Eye Cancer Fund, the latter in memory of Canadian musician Jeff Healey, who passed away in March.

St Paul’s Eye Appeal (1047988) is run by the Foundation for the Prevention of Blindness, with the objective of reducing disability from eye disease.  The appeal supports ophthalmic research at St Paul's Eye Unit and Ophthalmology department at the University of Liverpool.

Our intrepid Apers will be tackling the one mile aerial assault course of rope bridges, Tarzan swings, tunnels and zip slides set high up in the
tree tops.  The course takes approximately 2.5-3 hours to complete, and requires a lot of nerve!

Sponsor the participants by
making a donation via our website.  Alternatively, if you live in the Liverpool area, visit Volute, 266 Smithdown Road, Liverpool L15 5AH to add your name to the sponsorship form.  Be sure to mention ‘go ape’ when donating.
