"One More Day" - David M Bailey.
South Oxford Community Centre will be filled with the music of hope on Saturday October 27th, when David M Bailey brings the first International Brain Tumour Awareness Week to a meaningful acoustic close.
Proceeds from the The Message of Hope concert will help fund development of a sustainable model retinoblastoma awareness campaign in East Africa, to increase early diagnosis and prevent death from curable childhood eye cancer that has spread to the brain due to late diagnosis and lack of access to appropriate medical care.
David M Bailey
The son of Presbyterian missionaries, David spent his childhood in Beirut, growing up with the instability and tragedy of Lebanon’s civil war A war which forced David to complete his secondary education in Germany, where he spent weekends as a street musician and part of a touring ensemble.

As a young adult, David laid down his guitar to enter the corporate world.  Until, at age 30, with a young wife and two small children, the devastating diagnosis of a killer brain tumour inspired him to rediscover his first love of songwriting and performing.
With an infectious sense of humour, passionate beliefs and his credo to “love the time” and live every minute of every day to the fullest, David defiantly challenges his brain tumour diagnosis of over a decade ago.  His uplifting melodies and powerful lyrics are full of the beauty of this world – the ability to find hope in seemingly impossible situations.

As one of David’s songs tells, ‘hope knows no boundaries, and faith no borderline’, and now his music will bring hope to children many thousands of miles away, who are fighting for their own lives.
